Let me enlighten you, oh righteous Liberal, with just a single piece of contrary evidence. In a recent longitudinal quantitative (and therefore generalizable) academic study conducted by a LIBERAL professor of sociology at an Ivy League university, it was found (much to his own chagrin) that those who describe themselves as conservative and Republican give more out of their own pockets to charities per capita than do those who label themselves liberal and/or Democratic by a statistically significant margin. Chew on that cud for awhile before you bleet again.

When I dine with liberal friends, I always expect to foot more of the bill.
