A big thanks and kudos to Statto for a bang-up job ... this little game was a lot of fun.

FA Cup final on Saturday on Star Sports, then the Champions League final at some ungodly hour the following Wednesday ... then nothing! Crying or Very sad

And my sympathies to Neil. I'm sure Palace will go straight back up. Wink

Cheers, all.

That's it then. Until next season!

Congrats Davyteacher. Your predictions were too consistent to be lucky.

Have a great summer everyone. I know it feels like something is missing when there's no Premiership, Euros or World Cup to look forward to.

Great job Statto. You did a bang up job. Only another 90 days to go.... Sad

I'm delighted that I finally beat The Leek. I was chasing him for ages!!! Considering that I started about 6 or 7 weeks late I'm glad that I stuck it out and came in 8th. No UEFA place for me but at least I'm not going to go down to the Championship!!!

Though I joined very late, 'twas still an enjoyable experience. Congrats to davyteacher for a job VERY well done. And a big round of applause to kprrok for doing such a fine job of keeping track of everything. I'll take the summer to try and learn a thing or two about predicting football winners and scorelines, and come back stronger in the fall! (What can I say...I'm a sucker for punishment!) Wink

Cheers,

Confused Canadian

Bah....bloody Charlton. Still if we keep Dowie and AJ we should be there or thereabouts next season.

Many thanks to kprrok for all the time he put in totalling up the score. I'll probably be in the 3 Alleys this weekend cheering on Arsenal against Tampa Bay United if anyone fancies an end of season beer.

I did get to see the Arsenal-Man U game while in Thailand but sadly couldn't stay awake long enough to watch the thrilling Champions League match and Liverpool's amazing victory Crying or Very sad Looking forward to next season--the games and the competition here.

I too miss the matches...the excitement of figuring out if I was catching up or losing out...banging my head in frustration at last-minute goals that killed my scoreline...the long hours put in inputing the data.....oh wait, that I DON'T MISS!!

Just having a touch of fun. I really do miss the whole competition. I'm looking forward to next year.

Now, to improve the league, what can we do? Anyone have any suggestions? Do we want to put 10.000 won in each with the winner getting the pot? Have a separate competition for the UEFA CL? La Liga? Put a 10.000 bet down on who will go down before the season even starts with the closest person getting it? Bet on who's coming up next year?

Or shall we change the format of the predictions? the scoring? We've got 2 months or so to finalize it all. So let's get to chatting. What can we do to make this a better league for next year.

As for the Statto side, I've worked out the spreadsheet pretty well, and so long as I enter everything the week it's done, I should have no problems keeping that monster sheet updated. It was only a problem when I went 3 weeks without touching it. Having said that, anyone wanna volunteer to write the post-week commentaries? I'll continue doing it if you want me to. I don't mind at all.

And yet one final note....with summer break coming up next month, if any of you come down to Jeju, I'm more than happy to help you out, show ya around, meet for a drink or two. I might be going to Busan or Seoul for a couple of days, depending on my schedule and cashflow. Perhaps a get-together if I do make it?

Cheers all. And well done to Davyteacher for his outstanding season. Good luck to everyone next year.

Statto
