FINAL TABLE
And our winner is...livinginkorea!!! He takes the championship over kprrok with his higher %age of correct results. It was a closely fought battle over the past 2 months, and it ended even closer!
Everyone, let's give a round of applause to our league winner livinginkorea.
And one more thing. A few months ago, I asked for people to put their predictions in for how many points the league winner would have, and how many scorelines they would have. In that minor contest, our winner is...kprrok with his perfect predictions of 488 points and 45 scorelines (I'm giving myself this one even though I lost in the league tie-breaker, it's close enough). So congrats to me for this minor triumph!
I'll be doing some graphs and a year-in-review over the next couple of days.
Congrats again to livinginkorea for his hard-fought victory.

Wow I don't know what to say!
Thanks Kprrok for all the work you put into the series and for having such a close battle. It really came down to the last game. What a finish! Now I can't wait until next year!! |

I blame Middlesbrough for my loss. If they had just kept their draw for another 15 minutes, I woulda taken the cup by 2 points! Argh!
But it's cool. We fought well and had a good run. I have to say though, at times I was just like "dang this thing is taking up too much of my time. I gotta get a different hobby" and wondering if it was worth it to keep playing. But then I thought, "why not?"
Congrats to ya, and to lawyertood who pipped 4th place in the closing weeks.

Let me add my congratulations to livinginkorea! Well done! A solid performance throughout the season.
Though I had the 3rd highest percentage, it was my scoreline that let me down. Something to work on for next year!
And of course, a big "Thank You" to kprrok for doing this again. I know it takes a ton of effort on your part, and I'm truly grateful for your efforts. We all love this sport, but it take someone special to put in the effort that you do!
Well done to everyone, and I'm already looking forward to next season! |

| I missed the start of this season, but I'm up for the next one. FYI, though, you should check out http://iknowthescore.premierleague.com/. You could just make a mini-league and save yourself a lot of headache (although I realize some people, as I once did, enjoy doing this sort of thing). |

just like to say congratulations to livinginkorea for his triumph! good work lad...
and many many thanks as always to the man, the legend, KPRROK, for such sterling work this season. the fact that the league has maintained my interest even though i'm not even living back in korea any more, is down to your efforts, and the fact that all the members of the league gave it their best... some better than others (why am i sooo bad at this!!?)
take care all... maybe we could swing some kind of world cup predictor?

Give me a couple of days and I'll have the format and everything ready for the World Cup Predictor. I just need a few days of rest. I'll probably have it ready next week.
My initial thoughts are to predict all of the matches like we have been, but since there are no home and away nations, only have something for draws or wins, plus scorelines, with the points going up each round.
I'll write it out and post it when I've got it finished.

Do you still keep a record of the most frequent weekly winners?
I might not be bottom at something. |

Yup, that will be included in the package of stats I'm going to do my best to post tomorrow. Check it out. The monster table...all the different rankings for each category...weekly winners remembered...and lots more (including a comparison of stats for Year 1).

Congratulations livinginkorea, it`s been a good season.
I will send you the cup next week, just wanna kiss it goodbye for one more time. Also, good job to kprrok on his work, nice one.
But HEY, nothing is all lost, my good friend and know it all in football came last, YES that was Cybernob. Good things come to those who wait, even though he had some good results as well.
I`m considering going to this website huffdaddy has said, it seems to be more in detail and there is less chance of people changing their predictions just before kick-off and cheating. Anyone interested, we can set up a davesesl cafe league, and we can still give out the stats of our performances.
All those in favoor please reply. |
