Hahaha... reach around makes it way smoother for sure!

Seriously though, I want to clarify that I'm mostly talking about stuff like NAFTA which is screwing us over completely when I talk about Americans. I should just say the White House rather than American's to be fair. My best friends are Americans after all! Sorry if I offended anyone.

Yes, so it's even more important for the starving ones to have access to the vulnerable seal pups before the javamen pik them to death.

The fish shortage is a human problem, but limiting fishing and banning seal hunting just makes a bigger problem.

Never mentioned banning the hunting of seals, only savagely beating pups (ya know, very young mammals usually under 3 months) over the head with a pick.

An ice-pick? Sounds like poachers. Happens all over the world.

You're joking right? Poachers? Try google and see what they look like. Can be effective for killing but often used incorrectly so the seals suffer.

I will add one more to my list. Natives who 'respect and honour animals' spirits' dancing on top of a dead whale with beer bottles.

You have a link?

OK, I'll spell it out for you. Men hacking on BABY SEALS's heads with a pick. What other animal is killed in this caveman style? What other animal is killed when it's a helpless baby(majority under 3 months)? The ones that are shot instead suffer needlessly because it's from a moving boat and many end up falling into the water.

So you try to turn it into an overpopulation problem? You think nature needs human's help so hack the pups to death with a club, this is your reasoning? You're suggesting there are no animals that eat seals? Heard of polar bears, killer whales or sharks?

Yes, it sounds like poachers.

I will search for that thing you want to see, but I doubt I will be able to find it. The media is quite PC.

Recently the Pope popped into Aussi, and had a chat to some Aborigine leaders about the issue of the "stolen generation"children and the role of the god squad in the travesty. A bunch of kiwis turned up and thought it would be a great idea to welcome the Pope (who works as a sales rep. for the Prince of Peace) with a fucking war challenge. Get over yourselves.

The swimming team at the olympics also drove me nuts for the same reason. Dicks.

Second that. Perhaps Kiwis need to be told that many people view the Haka as an embarassing display of primitive brutality. As a cultural icon, it sucks.

Everywhere I travel I meet I people who think NZ is a country filled with grass skirted, tongue poking, violent savages. Where do they get this idea from, I wonder?

Sorry, that's not a racist comment. It's just an observation on how many
non-Kiwis view our lovely little country and our people. If NZ continues to promote this image at every sporting event (with world-wide TV coverage), then we can expect to be thought of this way.

Frankly, I find this image of NZ to be embarrassing. I also believe that we will never develop as a country when the terms racist or rascism are directed at anyone criticising our culture.

It's interesting that many posters on Daves criticise Koreans for xeonophobia - but it seems many Kiws also suffer from this.

Seeing homeless people on the streets in the prairies when temperatures reach -40. Winnipeg is the worst. Lots of homeless people there have lost limbs or simply frozen to death. Toronto is terrible too. I remember seeing a women whose bed was the sidewalk sleeping in -25 weather. It's horrible.

Also downtown Calgary is sketchy as hell. The area where I lived was super violent and there were lots of crack heads all over the place. Once I was at the liquor store and some scary stuff was going on and a guy there told us he was from New York and felt Calgary was a scarier place.

Disgusting.

I've wondered about that, actually. The homeless sleeping on grates in Atlanta in the winter gives one shudders, but, from one who spent a couple of winters in Minot, ND, the thought of spending the winter out-of-doors in those parts is disturbing indeed.

Has anyone seen the movie The Day After Tomorrow? Anyone wonder what happened to Canada?
