That is totally a lie and i can prove it with selected out-of-context quotes and poorly ran studies paid for by tobacco corporations!
I got my evidence from this book "Fat Bad, Smoke Good" which was written by someone with no healthcare training. |

Certainly!
http://cuteoverload.com/2010/02/15/step-1-cut-a-hole-in-a-box/
Here we see a squirrel hanging out in a birdhouse. What is a squirrel doing in a birdhouse? Nobody knows! Hey, squirrel! Get out of that birdhouse! You don't have feathers! You're not a bird!
http://cuteoverload.com/2010/02/14/mom-youre-hugging-me-too-moshe/
Look at these drop bears! They are adorable! The words and captions imply that the little bear is not happy at being hugged so much! This is totally cute.
http://cuteoverload.com/2010/02/14/its-the-c-o-happy-fun-activity-page/
Look at this pug! That pug has a heart for a hat! That is adorable. Why does it have a heart? Nobody knows! It has a scared face because it doesn't understand what that hat is for!
In conclusion, I am smarter than the world for believing the opposite of what everyone else does. I have no proof that everyone else is wrong except for a few isolated incidents that clearly prove the rule that all science is wrong except for the science I agree with. |

Here I sit, crying because I know that no one will ever understand your genius!

The Daily Mail is a sensationalist rag worthy only of being cage liner for especially incontinent birds. I'd suggest you go to an actual scientific journal for your evidence, but we both know that'd never happen.
Also, the Paleo Diet isn't explicitly terrible. It encourages blood donation, which actually isn't that bad an idea. The average diet in this day in age suffers an overabundance of iron, which can cause neurological damage and other wonderful things. |

| Does the Paleo Diet involve colonics. I'm trying to find out from actual people that have done them if they are good or bad for ya. |

| The lipid hypothesis might be the over arching orthodoxy, but the evidence simple doesn't stack up. A lot of things remain the consensus until they not. This really proves nothing. |
Well I'll take the advice of the AHA or BHF over some fringe scientist any day. For these massive organisations to be aware that the lypid hypothesis is wrong and ignore it (and you can't miss the skeptics - they're all over the internet) on the advice of all their own researchers and doctors is a conspiracy I just don't buy..

| If you have been following the news this year you will know that the warmers took a massive hit. The document that "proved" global warming (IPCC) was proven to be riddled with errors. Global warming is slinking into the back ground and we will probably have moved onto the next big drama by this time next year. |
I've followed all this. It certainly been quite damaging in - terms of public perception..The science is still massive and overwhelming. It's no comparison to the litany of falsehoods spread by the skeptics over and over again and never retracted when shown to be wrong

yeah Malcolm Kendrick is key International Network of Cholesterol Skeptic doctor. I'm not jumping into the science because it's complex and something people can look up themselves..I strongly suggest once you've read all the skeptics though maybe read some counter arguments here for balance...

| Maybe you are right. It doesn't seem to match up with reality, though. The prevailing wisdom is that we should cut fat, eat carbs and exercise, yet we are in a so called "obesity epidemic". And you can't claim that people are lazy and eat too much as it has been shown that Americans are exercising more than ever, and consumption of fat has decreased, yet obesity is still rife. |
I don't think this has been shown at all - in the West people still eat way too many calories, exercise too little, don't eat enough fruit and veg etc etc
sorry OP - for the derailing. I recommend renting a bidet for that regular cleansed feeling! |

It's ok, this has been a relatively educational and entertaining thread, all things considered.
I think I got the information I want and will NOT go forward with the procedure. I had just heard a lot about it and wondered if anyone had tried it and what they thought. I got information about everything else in the process.
It's wonderous how these threads spool out all over the place into a big tangle.Pun intended.... |

I know someone who has Chron's disease. He doctor tells her to get colonics to help release pressure and possible infected material from taking root.
Doctors also suggest getting them before having a colonostomy (sp?) |

Well, I wasn't planning on getting one of these but I just found out that I will have to get one due to a colonoscopy the Docs scheduled me for next week. (What fun!) I'll let you know how everything comes out. HA. |

| I went on Atkins and ate lots of veggies and bacon and hamburgers. I lost 20 lbs in 3 weeks. I had to give up beer and that didn't swing well with me so I started eating regularly again. I had tons of energy on Atkins but got mild headaches, the same kind when I quit smoking. I wonder if I'm addicted to carbs and that was my body rebelling. Maybe we are all addicted to carbs and HFCS, which I think is one of the worst things you can ingest. |
It's terrible for your kidneys.
Carbs are fine. Just get whole grain sourdough, or sourdough rye. Both are readily available in Itaewon. If you live far, go once in a while, buy a bunch of loaves, slice them, then freeze them. Toast them up for a very healthy source of carbs and fiber. |

Do you have a link for this? Whole grains are only slightly less bad for you than refined grains. |
