You clearly don't know what point you are trying to make.

Are you admitting you don't have taste? You just accused bish of having no taste for not liking a critically acclaimed movie. You admit you don't like some critically acclaimed movies. How come you get to retain your taste and bish doesn't? Since you dislike a whole group of critically acclaimed movies, aren't you in fact even more lacking in taste than bish who - as far as we know - only dislikes one?

Please make more sense and perhaps I'll get your point.

I don't think he has one. If he did he'd actually make an argument instead of repeating what ratings it got on rottentomato.

The Avengers is the Kpop of movies. Don't let anyone hate on you for liking some simple fun. Movie snobs are just as annoying as music snobs. Does watching only Coen brothers films make you some magically better person? No.

Now I AM a movie snob and would never see a movie like Avengers unless I was dragged bucked and gagged, but I could care less if someone loves it or not.

Let people have fun with what they will.

No, a cheap Chinese knockoff DVD is the Kpop of movies, since it's essentially American pop but with more bubblegum. The Avengers is like the Pop music of movies. Fun, entertaining, inoffensive, not terribly original but not an obvious copy of something superior.

X2- Best superhero movie of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Sorry, Kpop sucks. The Avengers doesn't. Don't let your hard on for everything Korean delude you otherwise.

Well I haven't seen the movie, but I regard pretty much any action movie as a raging dunce fest. What will this one be any different? Will the bad guy actually win? Oh gee, yet another movie where I hear "Go Go Go" and "It's gonna blow!".

Dude, those kinds of movies are bubblegum pop for the male mind. Be honest with yourself.

And again, nothing wrong with liking cheap, stupid fun.

It was okay, surprisingly enough I enjoyed the scenes with Captain America and Iron Man the most (two characters I can't stand, and I read a lot of comics) - probably because the casting for Cap and Drunken Man was really good, as opposed to Thor, where I really do not like the actor. Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury was rubbish too, absolutely did not make me think of the comic book character at all (and no, not just because Jackson is black, anyone who has read Sgt. Fury And His Howling Commandos would know what I mean).

I watched it in 3D, it obviously was not made for 3D as the 3D itself was not very impressive. As far as superhero comic books go, it was decent. If you go in expecting something along the lines of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing then you are misguided.

Also, the new Spider-Man looks horrid, they keep miscasting Peter Parker, so right there that movie is already a dud.

Only on Dave's could a thread asking 'Is The Avengers showing?' turn into a small *beep* complex, pseudo academic, gotcha style debate.

I'm just surprised it didn't turn into an argument about whether Koreans are able to appreciate movies as much as Western audiences.
