I find the topic so strange, (anti-American one), the only people who you will see who are anti-American in Canada are old people and/or hippies. Those types of people aren't even liked by most Canadians either though... Also, go into a university environment and talk about Americans and people will be indifferent. Hell, they even had and probably still do have meet-ups to discuss AMERICAN politics. People really don't care. Especially when you are abroad, it seems like foreigners act like the segregated immigrants that you would see in your home countries where you see them tend to stick together and not assimilate as much. People put all that national shit behind them usually once they go abroad, and if I see nationalism from Koreans it isn't vomit-enducing nationalism it's more just "Oh! You know so and so product? That's Korean!", which is hardly something to lose sleep over. I actually find it quite funny. |
