I'm no where near 22, around 10 years off it, in fact. Whatever it is that makes the "perfect" NET, I haven't got it, nothing I do despite much effort is ever quite right....
I need to know what my options are, can anyone give me some clues?
Can I transfer to another school within the public school system? Or will I have to look at other providence / countries altogether / private schools or academies etc?
What about textbook writing? I've heard that every hogwan writes its own textbook and they often employ a copywriter to check the work, any reasonable recommendations on companies to apply too? What about adult / in-company jobs, say at Samsung etc?
Am I beholden to the reference these people give me?
Thanks |
I think you've gotten most of the advice you can find here. Most of the yahoos here just want to get their "i hate korea--but i'm here anyway" rocks off. Most negative bunch of folks i've ever seen. Misery breeds company.
Good luck getting advice in this cesspool of a message board. |

No chance - well, you have a chance, around the same chance of Glenn Miller swimming out of Dover beach.

Other provinces - you can only try right? But they will want your reference letter from the school and they will ring your co-teacher who will no doubt slag you black over the phone.
You'll get more success in finding a job in a hagwon if you start going around them now and putting a face to a resume.

Those jobs exist but they don't sponsor visas as far as I know.

Looking for work in any government institution in South Korea? Yes.
And it won't be the written reference that will kill your plans, it will be what your co-teacher says when your prospective employer rings your school up.
Like I said previously, go to Shenzhen, a nice city, near Hong Kong, decent pay, similarish hours to what you are doing now, none of the BS - you are welcome. |
