I sure dig those braless big titted hippie chicks when they dance and twirl around. It makes me wanna be a cop so I feel 'em down for drugs.

My favorite song would be "Eyes of The World" since its a really bouncy song and it takes about 20 minutes to play.

None! Couldn't stand them and those brain dead pseudo-hippies associated with them. Good riddance!

Not quite, but music fans abound.

That's the kind of response I would have given when I was still 16.

Check out their Live Europe '72 album for an example of great jams. I always hated the tie-dye/pothead/hackey-sack culture they begat, but I've since learned to give them some credit for a bag full of classic live gigs.

I love the Dead...fortunate enough to catch a few shows before the big guy died...but for all those folks that think the Dead are junk, well, you just don't know....you just don't know. Simple as that!
no random order...

Touch of Grey (first song)
Stella Blue
Scarlet Mag
Candyman
Eyes
I know your rider
Terrapin

can go on forever...great thread...nice to know there are some Steal Your Faces out there!
Mean people suck!

Keep on rolling, my old buddy
You're moving much too slow

Jack Straw from Wichita
Cut his buddy down
Dug for him a shallow grave
And layed his body down

Half a mile from Tucson
By the morning light
One man gone and another to go
My old buddy you're moving much too slow

We can share the women
we can share the wine...

Has to be Ripple, a sweet tune with mystical overtones. Those were the magic mushroom years. Also, the only Dead tune that I can play decently on guitar (only four chords. or is it five)? Let's see: in the People's key of G, it's G, C, Em, Am, and a D in there as well.
