Best season yet. I thought the show had jumped the shark in season 5, but it came out of the slump this season.
spoilers below
****spoilers start here****
Lana murdered
Lex arrested for said murder - looks like he's guilty but who knows
phantom zone guy immune to kryptonite ready to kill clark
Martha a senator
Chloe (dead?) well meteor power finally revealed
I don't want to wait another 4 months to find out what's going to happen. It does look like they've set season seven up to be the final season with Clark probably going to Metropolis and I guess donning the cape and tights.
Would be damn cool if they took a 1 year break following the final season and came back with a superman series or even better a JLA series since they've already got a number of heroes prepped for that. |

| Well, Lana is clearly not dead. You'll notice we're not actually shown her getting into the car because a truck blocks Lionel's view. My guess is that she faked her own death for some reason. |

| I'll threadjack. They cancelled Veronica Mars. Seriously, the best show on TV, not to mention the CW, and it's been cancelled. Go download episodes now if you haven't seen it. I'm a bit drunk but I do mean it. |

No thanks. I'd rather do an all-season non-stop marathon of The Gilmour Girls and Little House on the Prairie. |

well she would have only about half a second to get out of range of that explosion. If she isn't dead, then I'll be disappointed. It's a really lame plot device in any case. |

I agree, but I can't see any other reason for them not showing her getting into the car. |

I was just gonna start a thread to talk about this if no one else had so thanks, Superhero!
My take is that Lana can't be dead. Like Thundarr said, if she was dead we'd have seen her get in the car. I'm thinking she faked her death in order to finally be free of the Luthors. Let's face it, she's been trying to be free or so she said for a few episodes now and that's really the only way she would be able to get loose. I mean look at the lead-up to that scene: Lionel pressuring her to wait for him so that he can talk her out of what she's doing. Plus, she's the third of the three main stars and most shows don't kill off their lead actors just like that...
I hope that season seven isn't the last season as I think they have so much more to explore. I've been a fan since the first season and I think the episodes have gotten progressively better as each season went by. Introducing Bizarro now is a great new plot for next year and I'm so very curious to see what they're going to do with it. Should be exciting!
And yeah a JLA series would be fantastic but I don't know if the CW would go for that and the other networks might think it's too much of a gamble. Though with the success of Heroes (another awesome show!) it might finally be possible to get a JLA series to the small screen. |

I disagree. Clark has all but accepted his powers and has shown his do-gooder boyscout nature. He's all but ready to move to Metropolis and don the tights. Hell, his mother was practically pushing him that way already.

Agreed except that season five was weak. I've also purchased the DVDs for seasons 1-4 and will get season 5 & 6 probably in the fall

Never was much of a bizzaro fan, but am definitely looking forward to next season.

Or even better a JLA movie franchise ala X-men. |

A JLA movie franchise would be good but I wonder how they would deal with the fact that the three main movers all have or are in the process of making film franchises of their own. Wonder Woman's movie is still in the beginning stages but I have no doubt it'll eventually get made. Obviously the key is to focus on the other members but I've always felt that those three were the three who really kept the group strong. I like a lot of the other characters like Green Lantern, Flash, Hawkman, etc. but I don't think DC will greenlight a film that has all of them in it on the off chance that they end up making solo movies for each. Who knows though, they could do the JLA series and then use that as a springboard for a GL movie, a Flash movie, etc. just like X-Men was the springboard for the future Wolverine flick.
All I can say is that I'm excited about the future of super hero movies!
Oh, and I disagree about season 5. I think it definitely had some of the weakest episodes in it but there were also a number of really strong episodes that I liked a lot which I think balanced it out. But hey, let's agree to disagree on that one! |

Either that is the scenario OR she is actually dead and was killed off to kick Clark in the pants to get to Metropolis with Lois. |

yes and killing off Chloe at the same time will drive Clark and Lois to each other due to grief. |
