I went on vacation for a couple of weeks and moved my primary external harddrive (and case) to a hiding spot in my apartment just in case the place was broken into and my computer stolen. Well now I can't find the bloody hard drive. 500gb of backup data missing!

I'm sure it'll turn up eventually, but I've looked everywhere that I could remember thinking was a good hiding spot. Damn thing doesn't have legs so it couldn't run far.

Now where would somebody hide a HDD in a Korean place?

Hmm...

1. Above the kitchen cabinets?
2. Behind the fridge?
3. Under the mattress?
4. In the couch?
5. In a ceiling tile?
6. Behind the dvd player?
7. In your suit pocket in the closet?
8. In a box of old shoes?
9. Around the corner inside of your cupboard in that useless wasted-space area that you have to reach your arm around inside to get to. You know, the one you're afraid to stick your hand in, because there maybe be a dried-up roach or two -- or perhaps, a spider?

well after tearing the house apart there are two possiblities: it's still hidden or the cleaning lady that came in on Friday took it (but I don't have any proof and it's not something that I think she would want, but I could be wrong)

I moved a couple of weeks ago and found it when unpacking stuff that the movers had packed so I have no idea where it was.

Feel terrible for maligning an innocent cleaning woman.

It could be worse.

Ever hear about the Texan (yes, it really WAS a Texan) who hid his gun and ammo before going on vacation so a potential burglar wouldn't find it.

And when he came home, his wife decided to warm up the oven before baking a cake?
