For someone like yourself who advocates suicide for those who disagree with his political nut-bag ideas? Undoubtedly. |

Back to the topic at hand. Jinju and keane: please run along and play with the other ADD children now.
Part of me loathes the prospect of Ahmadine-jihad-an speaking at one of our most prominent universities--one synonymous with Jewish American humanism, I might add. It dignifies a man who should be a goat shepherd back in Iran.
But then that same humanistic tradition would seem to dictate that even the most appalling opposing views should be entertained--or at least tolerated. For this reason only, I say let him speak. He might just show his ignorance in all its splendid glory.
More than likely, however, he will probably try to rehabilitate his image as a war-mongering anti-Semite and assuage his host by speaking in civil tones, lamenting the loss of the chance to visit Ground Zero.
Either way, he isn't likely to get the best of his hosts. Even the most liberal students are shrewd enough to smell a hairy rat when they see one. |

I would be far better to kill Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamani. He has far more power than Iran's president. He is also much smarter and much more dangerous. |

Had I ever said what you tried to imply, you would be right. The stupidity of the pages of crap defecated all over by you, my little ones, is that I never said Bush would remain in power as a certainty. In fact, minus war with Iran, I put it at about 50/50. That's a far cry from 100%, my deluded, violent little one. I know, as I said before, this logic escapes you.
Even if I HAD said it was a certainty, your post was still sickening. your pursuit of it over weeks and pages and multiple threads borders on illness.
For someone who complains about references about his wife that many didn't think even qualified as a comment about your wife, but about you, you get pretty sick on your own. What was said to you pales in comparison to saying another person should off themselves to please you. You demanded apology. Will you apologize? Hell no. Hypocrisy sucks.
I know, this logic escapes you, too.
Kisses, little ones. |

This from the one who characterizes his opponents as spittling, mueling, whining??? Rich. You also need to learn, along with your buddy gopher, that big words do not cogent analysis make.

I agree with you in basic, but our reasoning is different. I don't loath that he should speak. I believe in free speech. I also believe in basic problem solving. You can't solve a problem you won't address. Bush is a complete fool on this point.
Saying he is given legitimacy simply because he is spoken to is the province of those with limited minds. It is a poor logical construction: he is spoken to, therefore he is legitimate. Nonsense.
Your final point is actually the best reason to let him speak. Let him hang himself on his own petard either by losing it in full view of the world press and with intelligent people painting him into a corner or by speaking hypocritically and/or by contradicting himself. |

Alas, I see that you suffer from a reading disorder in addition to ADD.
EFLT: I didn't use the word "legitimacy." The poorest logical constructions are derived from what you wish someone else had said.
Now isn't it time for you to eat a BLT sandwich? |

There is no difference in the context. I paraphrased you, and did so appropriately.
The poorest logical construct is the lie. Stop lying. |

What on earth are you talking about EFLT? In the first place, I was weighing the consequences; then I opted for letting him speak. How does that tact demonstrate my need to question his legitimacy? He has no dignity, however, whether he speaks at Columbia or not. He's nothing more than a rabble rouser.
Ya know, I'll bet the main reason you never played sports in high school is that you shuddered at the prospect of advertising your IQ on your jersey.
