I think there is no better way to rile people up on this board, especially the grammar-nazis, than to purposely screw up the grammar.

I mean it is fun to see how people, with nothing better to do with their lives, goes through each and every thread and try to knitpick at each every grammar and punctuation mistakes others make in their threads...

I sometimes do it for the fun of drawing them into my web of destruction as their heads ultimately blow up in frustration because no matter how many mistakes a person makes in a post, they continue to make the same mistakes, which forces the grammar-nazi's head to swell up as the blood rushes to their brain and let out a hollow scream right before their head explodes into a million fragments- why? Because someone was having fun with them by playing games with the grammar and punctuation.

Let's face it, no one's perfect (not even the most educated individual on the planet) and because we have a difficult day and we want to express our feelings, emotions as they come out, many times we have no time, energy or we just plainly don't care to check to see if the grammar is correct or not- if its correct, then we try to build credibility among our anonymous peers. But if it isn't- oh well, tough luck, sh^t happens....

But I will do it, from time to time, just to keep people on their toes. The worst thing a teacher could have is complacency, it is always better to think in different ways as to keep your brain functioning properly by thinking abstractly than doing the same thing, day-in and day-out....

Come on man. There're grammar mistakes and then there're incomprehensible crap. I'm riled up.

"you sit in the USA purposely make grammatical mistakes"

Can you give an example of someone who goes through each thread looking for syntax errors? I suspect that you can't, and that this is just another one of those threads where people complain about people who do not exist.

There are several posters on Dave's who purposely go from post to post and if they really don't like the person, for some strange celetrial reason, they would try to point out each and every mistake they make.....there were several posts that specifically talk about this topic.

And while I am in the US at the moment (by that, this moment in time), I still have alot of well-wisher and fans who still want to know what I am up to and I tried very very very hard to retire from the forum, it is like heroin, you can't get enough of it.

As for crawling back under the rock from which I came?
If that were the case, I would be on my way back to Korea, that was my favorite ROK Wink

OK, let me correct your grammar. I was a lit major, not a grammar teacher so if I make a mistake, I'm sorry.

Here is how I think your post should've read:

There are several posters on Dave's who purposely go from post to post checking for grammatical errors and if they really don't like the person who posted, then they, for some strange celetrial reason, [/b] try to point out each and every mistake the original poster makes.....NOTE(too many jams. only one jam when ending a sentence) -->cap when starting a sentenceThere are several posts that specifically talk about this topic.

And while I am in the US at the moment (by that, this moment in time), I still have alot of well-wisher and fans who still want to know what I am up to and I tried very very very hard to retire from the forum, it is like heroin, you can't get enough of it.

2nd paragraph rewrite

Even though I am in the US at the moment, I do have a lot of well-wishers and fans in Korea who want to know what I am up to. Even though I have tried very hard to retire from this forum, I find it difficult to stiop posting. For me, posting here is like a drug. Imagine a heroin addict giving up smack. That's what it's like for me to give up posting on this message board. Like a junkie fiending for his/her drug, I fiend for posting here. I can never post enough.

Do you really have fans?

damn, I want fans. But not when I am sleeping; I value my life.

No, you are still being vague. You are still citing a non-existent phenomenon. Who are you talking about, specifically?

Is it really that bad for that here?

Get a life, you sociapath.

Surprised

Actually, I'm pretty sure both forms are ok. A period or a comma. Both work, genius.
