Hi people,
I used to work for an ISP back in the UK and i know that there were certain 'fair usage policies' or things such as P2P and BitTorrent were often 'throttled', that is, were given limited space on the main central pipes.
Do similar practises occur with Korean ISP's? I use KT Lite and find the download speeds incredibly fast (1MBps is not unusual) but am wondering if by downloading a lot they are suddenly going to start slowing me down. |

I'm guessing not. The majority of internet users in Korea don't use a lot of bandwidth so those who do download/upload lots of video/music can get away with it.
I'm with Hanaro, and, if I were to hazard a guess, I'm downloading about 70GB a month and uploading about 250GB. They've never complained. |

When I was in Yongton I ran a web server off one of my terminals and never had any problems. I was on KT lite as well.
My hakwon also ran a 30 computer network on a single KT-lite connection. They did occassionally get throttled around the end of the month (last 2 or 3 days). |
