The price of beef has come down in this neck of the woods: 900 won for 100 grams of hamburger. Cheap by Korean standards, though still 2-3 times the price of back home.

I have some real cheddar cheese (not made in england, australian) rather than the syntacheese stuff.

You can even get Pepsi AND coke.

So I am eating CHEESEBURGERS! Right now.

Oh, and I found sesame seed buns at Lotte.

Also need a keyboard protector.

And I even found Bud in bottles for 960 won.

Life is good.

Aussie beef is about 1200 won for 100 g. You must be eating US beef.

Pepsi and Coke? Old news. Pepsi is way cheaper but it sucks ass.

Bud for 1000 won or less? That's normal.

To the British and Irish, it's American cheddar that tastes synthetic!! It's so mild and bland.

Try extra-sharp cheddar in England and you'll never rate American cheddar again.................(yes, yes, I know you probably have much better local cheeses in America........but the big supermarket brands are......so-so)

Either the OP is living in an isolated place or he is new here. That was more my point with the 3rd and 4th sentences. The seeds on the bun, thats personal preference.

What's wrong with US beef? The local place doesn't sell ground US beef. Just sayings all.

It was a miracle to find something labeled "cheddar" that was actually made of cheese. This is Korea, remember?

You don't like stuff not made in England being called "cheddar?" boy, are you in the wrong place. Don't go through the dairy aisle in Korea! It's not even cheese. It's synthacheese.

I don't know whether the chuck is American. I have bought Black Angus American, Australian, and presumably Korean beef recently, all at relatively good prices. I think the U.S. imports may be bringing the overall prices down.

It just amazes me, though, how some people can wax negative about even the simplest of posts.

And in case some of you didn't get the reference, in the subject title, it is to a Saturday Night Live sketch with John Belushi. No Coke, Pepsi. Get it????????

And I disagree with saying Seoul is not Korea. Seoul and the metropolitan area make up aabout 50% of this country's opoulation. If anything, Seoul area is true Korea.
