Anyone know how much?
Is there a boat?
Have tried many different multi-keyword searches but haven't found anything. Accept flight for about $800 [edit].
Any better deals or slower routes? |

Date dependant you can get flights as low as 250k won.
Try whypaymore.co.kr for browsing or EVA or China Air (not Air China) for pricing.
Cathay also has some pretty good deals on flights to Taiwan (again date dependant). |

I just got a ticket from STA travel, roundtrip from Seoul to Bangkok with a couple of days stopover (my choice, but there was a 2 hour layover anyways) in Taipei for 420,000 won, on Eva Airlines.
So I assume if you're only flying to Taipei, then it should be cheaper... |

Depending on when you go, you can get tickets for under $200, roundtrip, from interpark.co.kr Foreigners can register, though when you book online you will get a call from them to give you payment information, so you need a little bit of Korean skills.
Through Kangsan Travel you can get roundtrip for around $400. No reason you should pay $800 for tickets. |

We went to Taiwan for Chuseok. Definitely go down to Sun Moon Lake that was a really nice chilled place to spend a couple of days. You can rent a scooter and ride around the lake stopping at various places temples, village. We also caught the narrow gauge train upto Alishan there are only 3 of these trains in the world. Spent a couple of nights in Taipei went to a night market and National Palace Museum.
We stayed at TaiwanMex hostel in Taipei that was good close to the train station and owners were helpful. Like the lady met our bus from the airport at like 1am to show us to the hostel. |
