|
|
Hi,
Just hoping to get some info on a DVD player. I don't mind buying an old one from someone, or if anyone knows where I can get a new one for cheap.
Do you think it's ok to have a friend send me one from China? Or would the import/customs guys tax it to bits?
And I'm in a rural area, so mentioning places in/around Seoul aren't very useful.
If you got one for sale, I'd love to hear from you. |

Thanks! I've been looking on that site...but on the English version, which doesn't offer the dvd players. Weird. Thanks for the info. |

If you get to a Homever store, you can find a few good cheap models there. There are many Homever stores around Seoul. Ask a Korean for the closest one, or if you can read Korean:
http://www.homever.com/shopping/shopping01_01.asp
Several stores are listed on the left.
You can pick up players that also do DIVX via USB port for 70,000 won there. I know that one works, as I own it. I think they have a cheaper non-DIVX model, too. |

I would be careful if you buy one on the internet without trying it. We bought a Gmarket one. It only plays about 1/3 of our American DVDs. When we called to try to return it, they just said "oh yeah. that one is like that." |

| Sorry to hear that.. is it the Bitmax MD-C281? Mine has behaved itself very well with US / UK / Kor originals and burned discs, and the USB input is a godsend |
