Dear All,

Just thought this might be of interest to any of you considering privates and how to decide on rates for your services. A brokering site for linking English clients to foreign phone/private tutors and KOREAN tutors.

www.bizbee114.com

If you take a look at the directories and listing ads from Korean teachers you'll notice they're asking fairly close to 40 thousand an hour for their linguistic acumen while you'll also notice a definite "tier" pricing system applies for students studying at prestigous universities (Yondae/Seoul Dae) who can automatically charge higher rates.

Also striking is how anybody who's studied in English speaking countries feels that they are entitled to yank up the price 10 per cent or so.

Knowing this might help you charge accordingly if you're a qualified native speaker.
