I help you drive in Korea:
1. Never, ever use a turn signal if you need to turn or pull over.
2. You are allowed to cross multiple lanes of traffic, even if you are blocking the lanes and endangering other people IF: a) You are a taxi driver, or b) you have your emergency flashers on (this should be the only time you use your turn signals).
3. Don't stop at a stop sign or intersection. Stop IN it. At least the nose of your car should be in the cross lane. This is especially respected by motorbike riders in the cross lane.
4. When there is a narrow space, such as a street with a parked car on it or in an alley, but it is easily big enough for your car to fit through, stop and look at the space for a long time. This allows the space to become ready for your penetration.
5. If in doubt about traffic laws or who has the right of way, concentrate on being the only person around and drive like no one else can see you. |

you need to enrol in a driving school.. you can also take your test there
so yu will have a license in about 3 weeks..
I think you need to do about 24 hours at the course..
ask at the DMV.. written test and road ar taken at the DMV..
you can listen to the road test video in English when its time in seoul..
but for actually learning to drive with an english Teacher.. I dont think so..
but youc could do it in korean he will show you.. |

i've yet to meet a korean who should be on the GIVING end of a driving lesson! more korean driving tips:
6. gas and brake pedals function best in a binary (full on / full off) manner... when accelerating, floor the gas... to brake, slam on the pedal at the last possible second... coasting is a big no-no because it doesn't waste enough gas or destroy brakes or clutches fast enough... to obtain a moderate speed, pump the gas pedal at the appropriate rate...
7. bus passenger comfort is of no concern... your performance will affect your formula 1 bus rating, so take corners at full speed whenever possible...
8. taxi passengers can't possibly know the best route to their destination, so ignore them and take whatever route will cost them the most and get you closest to wherever YOU, the driver, want to go... pretend not to understand their instructions (even in korean) and remember: they're cargo, not paying customers...
9. sidewalks are really roads with less traffic... whenever possible, drive or park on them... don't be afraid to honk at pesky pedestrians who don't know their place!
10. GPS systems eliminate the need to: know directions, watch the road, or be sober |
