hi there
just arrived in china and noticed that the internet in my hotelroom (if you can call this hole a hotel) is really slow
Looking to watch the rugby wc on my pc again like in Korea
So, wondering if anyone knows some info about pc rooms in chinese cities:
1. Do they have broadband internet like in korean pc bangs?
2. Are they open 24 hours?
3. How much per hour?

otherwise, do anyone know if there are bars in Shanghai where they show sport like rugby?

Thanks

Ps. i know i can find this info myself but thought i'd ask here first as I am tired of bumping into millions of people all day

Ask just about anyone. Say internet and make wiggly motions with your
fingers like you are typing.

They vary a great deal in terms of how nice they look. I think most places
were 2 yuan per hour. That's about 25 cents I thing.

I just arrived back from beijing. My hostel had a descent computer room for free. The only pc rooms I saw were pretty raunchy. Not sure about Shanghai, but in beijing yahoo messenger was blocked some days, as well as other sites. Best advice is to look for a nice youth hostel. They are cheap and some are pretty nice.

We used several places in China, and they wree all quite slow. We assume its b/c of the censoring and older technology.
If you are in Beijing or Shanghai, find a western Pub. They'll probably be showing the world cup.

Net Bars in China are more plentiful than Korea. You can notice them by the big advertisments for either Pepsi or Coca Cola and pictures of RPG computer games. they are called Wang Ba in Chinese. They should help you there. Ask to Shang Wang which means to surf the net.
