| When does this open here? Is it out already? The theaters in my neighborhood are all devoted to PIFF. |

finally saw it. i agree, a sequel is in order. it has surpassed my traditional three strikes you suck rule for movies.
i think their rendering of a post appocalypse is very smart, or at least well read from various other sources.
i can only imagine where the sequel might go.
it seems Harry Potter has survived the suck rule and now this. perhaps any media that has to employ a "real" writing staff (video game developers or actual authors and possibly comic book writers) can actually render nonsucky sequels beyond the third iteration. |

Not to hijack the thread overmuch -
Loved the videogame series, personally. They are called 'Biohazard' here in Korea, tho - not sure why they didn't stick w/ the Res Evil name, and/or change the movie name to matchth games here???
I have NOT seen the movie yet - it is d/led already, just haven't taken the time to see it. However, it seems (to me, based upon the trailer) similar to 28 Days Later, which was AWESOME, I think - and I watch/read a lot of horror/sci-fi/cyberpunkish stuff.
If anyone has seem RE3 and 28 Days Later, I'd love to hear your comp/contrast . . .
As another note, the Narnia movies will go an undetermined number (they have already said, however, that they won't do all 7 books into movies). Since the kids age/change, it seems reasonable that they can/will do more than 3 of them. Just grab a Baker's Dozen, and kick back!
I am also slowly having my faith renewed in the superhero movie genre, and wish one day they will do the Infinity Gauntlet - even if it is straight to DvD. I'm fairly surprised that there hasn't been a DC push for a JLA-ish movie yet, as well - although I'd cringe a little if they went overboard on the 'ethnic diversity' angle, or doublecringe at WonderTwins . . .
Hmmmm - feelin kinda nerdy today!
