Saw this on a website... the mind boggles as to how some of these 'ailments' could be considered non life altering....
Treatments of diseases that do not hinder work or daily living, and the cost of drugs and medical materials for simple fatigue, hair loss, freckles, warts, hirsutism, acne, impotence, hereditary deformity of genitals, simple snoring, plastic surgery, cure of sequela, and operation to correct eyesight are not covered by the health insurance. |

| I'm not sure it is bizarre as the insurance company has to protect itself against frivolous claims. To that end they insert these clauses to prevent things that may have been tried on in the past by policy holders. |

The insurance companies here are pretty smart.
Here, if you want to be fully protected, you have to buy health insurance and a separate cancer insurance. Judging by people's lifestyles, the cancer rates are already high, and set to go even higher. |

I hope those drama stars take out that cancer policy. Seems like one of them comes down with a unique form of it on every new series! |

I'm not sure your stance on this. These items are cosmetic and shouldn't be covered by health insurance. All seems pretty normal to me. |

I don't like the part about 'doesn't hinder work or life'. It sounds vague. And most of us know about vagueness and Korean contracts.

Your insurance company tends to stop being "your" insurance company when you make an actual claim, granted. "Hinder" is not well defined, of course. But I would think this clause is standard and no doubt has been well tested in courts.
They won't pay for back hair removal but if you suddenly become like the wolfman and hair covers your face (whatever the hell that disease is), I think they would cover that. |

A few of those are covered by the NHS back home, I had acne treatment, you can viagra I believe and also hair loss in women is covered, warts too although freckles I dunno, the doctors did the best they could with my genitals I'm just going to have to wait for medical science to catch up.
And remember when ever you buy health insurance a socialist gets AIDS! |
