Yeah, it won't let me sign up either. This whole program is kind of confusing to me, but, if it eventually works as advertised, it'll be great. We'll see.

Edit: It let me log on, and then it requires a manual activation by the administrator. So far I don't know if it's worth it, but this Bit Torrent program is pretty cool after you figure it out. The downloads speed up over time. Pretty consistently 20-40kbs on newer shows.

It's supposed to be the latest greatest P2P. I'm off to try it now.

Downloaded a large program the other day and had it going at 530kbs.. did 1.4gb in just a little over an hour. Shows like West Wing come at 150~200kbs... guess it depends on your connection.

Lots of stuff can be found here: http://suprnova.org/

Really fast...and I am happy....except that for some reason I can not seem to watch .avi files. I need some kind of compressor.
Now really, I know someone who is watching has helped me out with this (or tried to) but I am seriously at a loss and not at all tech-savvy. My main problem is that the compressor I downloaded, the codec file, was also corrupted when I tried to run that.
If you can please help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. I need a good codec site and a clue on what to do after visiting the site. Please send me a PM.
Thanks!! Embarassed

No way. No PM...!
I downloaded Bit Torrent the other day but am out of space on my hard drive so I haven't bothered trying to download anything yet.
In a few days when I actually get around to it I'm sure I'll run into the same problems. So if anyone has this info please post it HERE. Thanks.

Do you have DIVx? If not, that would be the first thing to try.

And in related news, it looks like somebody has finally put out a DIVx compatible set-top DVD player.
