Ecco dress shoes.

I hate branding and brand loyalty, but these shoes rule.

Laphroaig Islay single-malt whisky

I don't think I have to explain this one.

I'm with faster. Brand loyalty sucks. Looking at the individual product is key.

Brands that tend to do better than others:

New Balance shoes
Red Bull energy drinks (who the hell sells this in Korea?)
Trojan condoms
Samuel Adams brewing company
Papa John's pizza (in Korea)

After being in Korea for 5-years I've become accustomed to Korean-made products and will look for Korean companies rather than cheaper Chinese goods or those made in my own country. It's a way to support the marketplace here.

Like the OP, I'm an LLBean guy and order online often.
LG for electronics, although at times Samsung. I'm a Samsung Lions baseball fan.
Reebok - all of my favorite sports teams, except Liverpool, are sponsored by them so I buy their gear to match. No Adidas, Puma or Nike stuff in my closet.
Microsoft - but not by choice.
SK for handphones.
Soda - Chilsung. I don't drink caffeinated soda.
Beer - Coors Light, Hite.
Cameras - Canon
I-Station

I hate big business. They are only worried about profit and care less about their workers and the envirornment from which they scrape off their resources. Coca-Cola, Apple, Microsoft, Wal-Mart are the devil!

Levi's. All my jeans are Levi's and I like Dockers too.

Toyota. My first two cars were Toyota Tercels and my third car was a 1985 Chevy Nova which was really a Toyota:
Quote:
In 1985, the Nova name was applied to a rebadged fifth-generation (AE82) Toyota Corolla (Japanese-market only Toyota Sprinter line) that replaced the Citation and was produced at the NUMMI plant in Fremont, California, as an historic first joint venture between General Motors and Toyota.

-Wikipedia

Coke. Love Diet Coke and Kin Zero

Nike. ALways feel good and usually last a long time.

Timex. Great, reliable watches for pretty low prices.
