I've just spent some time reading a good share of the posts on the front pages of several of the forums and I'm frustrated. I'm now in the mood to join the crowd and whine, but I can't think of anything to whine about that doesn't already have one or two threads.

Can anyone give me a suggestion of something NEW to whine about? I'm getting desperate here.

Yes, I know I'm whining that all the good/easy topics have been taken, but work with me here, folks.

How about the way koreans speak english? It sounds so offensive and tactless to hear someone say "Come here' or "who are you?".

Waaaaaaaaaaaah! Why is the sky that annoying shade of blue! It's much nicer when it's pink as the sun sets! Why can't it just see logic and stay pink! Razz

How about how the bossman always wants to take you out for sam-gyeop-sal but never steaks or anything. Jesus.

Bags of Chips....

I fricking hate the way Koreans open up bags of chips!!! (perhaps done in other places too, but I've only noticed it here) They completely rip the entire bag apart. What if I don't want to eat the whole bag? They just ruined the chance of rolling em up and eating them later.

How's that for the pettiest complaint you've heard?

Honestly, it actually really does bug me. It bugs me so much that I have to laugh at myself for being bugged by such an unimportant thing. If my wife and I ever get a divorce, it's gonna be over chips (or her getting an ajjuma perm)

I hate how they sometimes bend over backwards to keep you happy, but won't think twice of insulting your looks.

Quite a few good and constructive responses so far. Keep up the good work. I'm especially partial to the potato chip bag idea. That one definitely has legs.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, you are welcome to join my cheeseburger thread and tear it apart, stitch by stitch, with numbered points and footnotes, like most everyone else.

You are right: if they are whining about my having a cheeseburger, things must be desperate.

OK. Here's one: What's with this won denomination thing? Why should we have to say "thousand" every time? Why can't they just devalue the currency to save us all that waste of time? Think about what it would do for productivity and the Korean economy?

Well, I have an idea! Instead of saying "thousand won," why not just say "kwon." It is much more efficient.

Kwon=thousand won.

Or has this issue already been whined about, and I missed it?

And why don't they give you free shopping bags at the ATMs?

Korean baking powder makes anything I cook or bake smell like ammonia (but not enough to make it seem that I'd just recently used cleaning products to actually clean the kitchen). - Feel free to run with that.

(And I also really hate the aforementioned destruction of chip packets).

In case you haven't noticed, the sky isn't blue lately. The sky is grey. Grey. Grey. Between July 1st and Oct 1st is was raint 46 days and cloudy 32 more.
