Hello F2 Holders,
Tomorrow will be my 3 week wedding anniversary. Yeah! Anyhow, I've read all of the posts regarding the F2-1 Visa and most of them are from 2003. In addition, it seems that there are tons of people out there with freshly minted F2's. I've created this thread in order for for people to ask questions and share information about any changes to the F2 since 2003.
Lets turn this thread into a helpful F2-1 User's Guide.
For 2007, what are the do's and don'ts of the F2-1 Visa? |

Shouldn't this be in the general forum rather than job related? |

Many people would probably agree that the most important aspects of having an F2 have to do with working in Korea. This forum should be fine, but if it gets changed I'm cool with that. |

I'll be appling for my F-2-1in three months. Where ever the thread is, keep it a sticky somewhere.
PS_tom- because this is a work related board and an f-2 for most foreigners concerns their JOBS and not their general welfare in korea, this post should probably be in this forum. But you know best. |

New idea! Let's turn this thread into an argument about which forum that it should go into. That way, it will become a mind numbing tedious process to read through just like all of the other F2 threads.

Yeah, the technology forum is cool, but I'm going with current events because F2-1 is currently stamped in my passport.

If F2-1's are peasants and F5's are one step above....that makes the latter...
Oh, and the US 'Green Card' is THE visa.

Which one is cooler, the 600cc Honda F5, or the F5 visa?

So what can anyone say about the F5? My info so far consists of a search on this site (nothing F5 specific except that it is "the" visa), and a guy in Itaewon who told me I could convert my F2-1 (I'm in my second year of same, but with eight years of marriage and 10+ in Korea) into an F5 "anytime". Advice? Even about which forum to check--Dave's is a labyrinthe/minefield. |
