| I must respond "Holla" to you, because Beckett threw a shutout against the Angels. They are going down. They stink when they play at Fenway, and since they would have to win at least one game there to advance, I like Boston's chances. |

What? I never owned a jersey of any team, but I grew up having my father take me to Fenway to see games. Fenway is more than a ball field. It is a shrine. That's why the ownership could never demolish it to build a larger seating capacity building (although they tried to float that balloon). Boston residents would consider it a crime. Additionally, understanding the history of the team and the city puts things into context.
Just the people-watching (forget the ball game) makes for a great experience. And when the Red Sox are winning, it's that much more special. Damn, I miss summertime at Fenway.
I guess you wouldn't understand. |
