How is Everland in the Winter?
Is everything outdoors? What can I expect if I go there? (I've never been there).

Everland is pretty cool anytime.
In the winter, they have a couple of sledding hills set up where they supply the intertubes. There's a kiddie hill and a larger, faster hill. The larger hill even has one of those automatic stairs to get to the top. It's a blast.
The animal exhibit is open year-round. It's quite small with lions, tigers, bears, zebras, etc. You take a Jurassic Park-type bus through it. You'll get a kick out of the horny lions.
Basic theme park rides are to be found. Ferris wheel has a good view.

Carribean Bay, next door to Everland, has an interesting winter setup. They've got indoor slide tubes, co-ed hot spas(clothes on, of course), and even got a bit of the outdoor hot spa action going on. It's cool to sit in a pool of hot water and watch the steam ooze off, afraid to get out because the freezing cold temperatures will ice your nads off. I thought it would totally suck when I went there for Christmas Day, but it wasn't half bad, actually. |

How much does it cost in the Winter?
Are there areas that are indoors as well? or would I be outside in the cold the entire time? |

I don't know how much, about 20 i think. Of course carribean bay is indoors, and there are restaurants and certain rides that are inside. |

I was just there last weekend. The snowbuster (sledding hill) brought back memories of winters in Canada. The lines were a bit much for me, but I can't complain as the school paid for me. I went on the bumper cars and the pirate ship. Be prepared for hordes of kiddies. |

Is Carribean Bay and Everland separate entities? Meaning pay for each one separately?
If so, is Carribean Bay the better buy in the Wintertime? It does sound fun! |

Yea, if you go with your hagwon kids be prepared be swamped with other children whose schools had the same idea.
If you're going by yourself, arrive after say 2pm. Kids will start going home around 3pm or so.
Don't forget to check out those horny lions.

Yea, they're separate, and you can buy a ticket to just one or the other. I'm sure there's some sort of package ticket as well...
As far as price, I got a quote from the Chica for 30,000 won in the winter. If you've got a Samsung discount card or something, that might help you get cheaper tickets. |

Everland is Ok in the winter. They keep the rollercoasters going all year round which is strange but they're pretty small compared to western standards. The sledding is fun but would be even better if they had got rid of the goofs standing in the way trying to slow you down. The small zoo they have there has too many animals in the small enclosures (talk about cruelty). I went with alot of friends so it was fun but as far as an amusement park goes, it's pretty mediocre. |

Comparitively, it sounds like 'Carribean Bay' is the place to be indoors. Am I wrong?
Rollercoasters, zoos, and the like doesn't sound all that interesting in Winter in particular.
The 'Carribean Bay' desicription sounds like a lot of fun. Am I wrong? Based on the descriptions here?
I better make a poll on this one.. select one on top |

Of course I'm gonna vote for Carribean Bay...considering that I went in totally negative on the idea (Woman!?! A water park??? On Christmas Day?!? Are you nuts?), I was surprised by how much fun I had. Seems great with a chick...lines are long, but not as bad as in the summer, so that's another plus. |

I've been to Caribbean Bay a couple of times during the off-season (never been when it was fully open) and it was great, but I've always gone on a weekday, never on a holiday or weekend... |
