|
|
I recently went to the DMV to change my address and I wanted to renew my license early if possible. My renewal period starts in Oct, and there is a chance I won't be in Korea or won't have an ARC during the renewal period, so I wanted to do it early.
They said I can't renew early, but I can change from Class 2 to Class 1 and get a new license good for 10 years that way. (They also said I won't need my ARC to renew, but I might have misunderstood that). I didn't have the required pictures for the application, so left and will go back on Monday.
Anyone know what exactly the difference is between Class 2 and Class 1 Drivers license in Korea? I don't want to show up Monday and be asked to drive a truck or anything!
Thanks |

From what I've been told, class 1 includes manual transmission cars. Class 2 is just for automatics. They just gave me a Class 2 when I got my license, even though in my province it doesn't matter if it's a manual, or automatic. |
