You can't mention good Canadian music without mentioning
Gordon Lightfoot or the Dream Warriors.

Or the safety dance for that fact.

Great Canadian music!

I prefer a more vintage Tom: http://youtube.com/watch?v=gkaa3I_tCZg&mode=related&search=

but as I mentioned in another post, the finest in Canadian independent music can be found on

http://radio3.cbc.ca/
except it was better before it was music only and no announcers.

Search for my current fave "Pedal Pusher" by Abdominal...nice...

Two wheels good, four wheels bad.

Broken Social Scene is another good Canadian group, as is Do Make Say Think. Ween is another good one. It depends on your musical tastes.

The Guess Who of course. Razz

If you want more Canadian stuff... Our Lady Peace is good, so is Matthew Good Band. I thought they were internationally famous, but after talking to several Americans here I realize that neither got outside of Canada.

Joel Plaskett is okay if you like folksy-poppy stuff. Same deal with Sam Roberts.

Sam Roberts is the best artist you mentioned, and more Canadian than the others. He represents a good into to Canadian popular music for the uninitiated.
