I have been offered a 3 month teaching job near seoul, however they require me to work on my 90 day visitors visa. They also told me that most winter camps (or any sort of short contract) will usually expect this.

I am traveling in Korea, and was hoping to get a short contract to tie me over ubtil the public schools open up again in feb/march.

What is the general veiw on ppl working on tourist visas?

Cheers

However true you may be, it's obvious the OP wants to illegally teach on his tourist visa. So any advice would be trying. Sad

Yeah I know it is Illigal. They weren't lying about it, in fact they were so upfront about how illigal it was that i was somewhat taken aback. I probably wont take it anyway, because i think my visitors visa runs out before the contract ends.

I was just wondering in the case of finding other jobs like this, or winter camps (do they expect you to work on a visitors visa?).

I have been offered a 4 month gig where the school will pay my visa run, but it is with the notorious "wonderland" and the contract is less than ideal.

What do other teachers think of people working on a tourist visa? Is it one of the reasons behind all the crappy paperwork and hassle behind obtaining a visa? I dont want to contribute to that problem.

Cheers

Those kinds of illegal teachers are a different kind of problem. Right now it's fake diplomas, drugs and sex offenders. You're not one of those are you?

If you take the job you have no rights. You've read how bosses want to fuk over people they have a legal contract with. They won't even blink twice at ripping you off your last month.
