Has anyone been to Tokyo lately? Know any good places to stay with singles/doubles, at a hostel preferably, or a cheap hotel, that are near the bars/clubs zones in Tokyo. Thanks

U thinking Shibuya? Roppongi? There are 'gaijin houses' around both, best do a Google on them... some offer short stays. Also known as guest houses.

i was just there. i stayed at the sakura hotel in jimbocho. there is no nightlife in the immediate area, but shibuyu, rupongi, shinjuku, and ginza are all easily reached from the subway, jimbocho is sort if in between all 4. cabs home are crazy expensive by korean standards, but it was easy to meet people at the hostel to go out drinking with and split cabs later. that, or stay out until after 5 and take the subway home. the hostel itself was cheap enough, and way closer to the bar/club districts than most of the tokyo hostels, which are clumped around asakusa.
