Have a look at lifeinkorea.com. They have some hotels you can book at a discount online.

I would guess the airport is a ripoff--why stay there when it's 45 minutes and manwon to go into Seoul?

Does the metro go to Inchon these days--even go the jaunt to Gimpo would be better.

Not a specific rec' but a friend of mine was in the airport and asked the Tourist Information counter about a hotel for the night. They called a number, and a minibus came and picked him up. They took him to a hotel and gave him an 'executive suite' (because no one else was using it ). It cost $40. I think he had specifically said "I want somewhere cheap" to the information girl. His room was an awesome joint with an 8 person hottub, a living room and a bedroom. I suggest your bro' asks the airport info girl to hook him up with somewhere cheap and awesome. He probably won't be sorry.

Hotel Ibis in Myeongdong.

They have a package deal with one of the airlines (either United or American?) which makes the price close to 50,000 I think.

It was totally redone 2 years ago, and is in an awesome location in Myongdong, across from Lotte Department store. He can easily take a bus to there from the airport for about 11,000 won, I think.
