freebies come in many forms:
-you get the normal conference bag filled with various things (anything from pens to coffee mugs to whatnot depending on sponsors)...but i hardly count that
-various presentations (especially sponsored ones) have books to give away with cds and etc.
-many of the book fair sellers have forms you can fill out to be mailed "sample" copies of books, which usually arrive a few weeks after you leave the form with them at conference
-smile enough and some book sellers may give you samples on the spot
- many sponsors have drawings for larger prizes- and given that not that many people likely take the time to enter the chances of winning aren't too shabby
- at a bare minimum most book-sellers give you a discount off of what the books sell for at kyobo

so yes... freebies depending on how one looks at it. you'll see many a teacher going away loaded with supplies. fun stuff.

the degree of networking you do is up to you Smile

just a note: cambridge day is also coming up: http://www.cupkorea.co.kr/popup/cambridge%20day3_main.htm

Cambridge Day has 20% discounts and KOTESOL you only get 10% so if you are going to both, spend your money at Cambridge day.

I'll be going to KOTESOL.
