|
|
I have a golden retriever that just finished having hip surgery.
Swimming is highly recommended as a low impact form of physical therapy. In fact if swimming is used it will greatly increase the probobility of him returning to normal.
So my question. Where is the closet beach to Seoul for swimming? I'd like to get him out once or twice a week but don't want to go too far.
ps. (for the trolls)
I have a car so transportation isn't a problem.
I realize the water will be cold, and this issue will be discussed with my vet.
Any beach is fine, as pet rules are usually ignored during low season.
He has swam in the sea before, so it won't be a problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks guys |

Incheon islands. Anywhere out there. Real closest would be on the road just past the airport. |

Just about everything on the west coast is soft mud beaches - something to do with the yallu river dumping a million tons of silt per year into the water there for the last 10,000 years or so.
You will need to drive at least an hour or more out of the city and head south of incheon. Daebu-do has a couple of beaches on the southeast coast that are small gravel instead of mud and would suit your needs. It is accessable by road/bridge. There are a couple other islands there as well but I don't know their names.
The north beach of jebudo is also OK and not too soft but the tide floods the road to the island at high tide so it is not always accessable. The beach on the mainland side has a few stretches that are also not too soft. |

What about south a bit around Oido, the terminating point of line 4? I thought I heard you can get to some beaches down there. |
