Just to let people know I was told something like this (three prong to two prong adaptor with a groundwire) is illegal to buy or sell in Korea:

I bought an adaptor like this when I first came for my laptop to plug into a large convertor. When I went home I bought another laptop and give the old one to my wife.

I've always been leery about plugging it directly into the wall with just the smaller adaptor to change it to a Korean style plug. We ended up buying one for the older laptop and it worked out ok. I've heard stories about it not working and didn't want to risk the laptop smoking or popping.

Anyway, I bought one of these

and it worked fine. I haven't tried it on the new laptop yet, but I probably will tomorrow.
