Well if Nostrodamus said it it must be true.

I heard it was supposed to the the Twelfth of December, 2012.

Could someone please check with Edgar Cayce?

Hasn't Nostradamus' body of work been used to come up with several previous end-of-the-world dates? How did those work out?

Kind of makes you wonder why one prophet would see so many ends of the world. Shouldn't there be only one?

Every 2 months someone claims the world is going to end real soon now. None have been right. If Amazon.com got your order wrong 18,000 times in a row, would you put much faith in Amazon.com?

I remember back around 1992 or so some Koreans were expecting the end of the world and gave a crapload of stuff away~ houses, land, money...etc.

I wish I would have gotten in on that $$$.

They've been wrong before and they'll most certainly be wrong again.

Actually you just reminded me of a hardcore Christian a year or two ago who had a government job in the US. He announced the world would end that weekend using government resources (can't remember all the details). Needless to say, on Monday when he came in for work everyone was very amused with him, and he lost his job.

Somewhere out there I have links to the before story where he is warning everyone and the after story where he is crushed.

Well, the Mayans couldn't make an infinite calendar. They had to stop somewhere. Maybe they just figured that after 2012 they'd all be dead anyway so didn't care.

apparently there remains a mystery with the Mayans: How did they get their calculations correct regarding disiances of planets etc without the scientific instruments needed to make those calculations; telescopes etc?

Nostradamus cant be taken as a valid source because anyone and everyone was writing prophesy under his name both whilst he was alive and after his death. There is also no such thing as prophesy anyway.

I read a book on Nostradamus published in 1982. There were future predictions for during the 90's and up to this time; NONE of them came true.
