How much money should one put in the envelope when attending a coworker's wedding if the two of you aren't even that close, she worked with you about 2 months ago, and you haven't spoken since? And, your wedding invitation was sent to your school via someone else and you found it on your desk on one of your breaks? Heck, should you even go?

Sure, why not. Korean weddings are often so damn tacky they're fun.

Give 30,000.

Don't go or give a gift. Korean weddings are just big money making schemes. It's their only chance to cash in.

They need the money to get an apartment.

But if you go, give me a call.. i think i'm available that weekend.

If you decide to go, 30,000 is enough. If it were someone you liked, you could give more, but always do so in odd-numbered amounts. Some Koreans believe it's bad luck to have an even number, for some reason I don't understand. The meal is probably just under 30,000 (ours were 28,000).

If you weren't close to her, then just don't go.
