I'm not selling!!! sorry, but I had to post and say that I picked up a Nikon Coolscan V-ED film and negative scanner from the US (through Ebay), about 550$US plus 90$US shipping and only 50,000won import tax. The same item would have cost 930,000 new from auction.co.kr here in Korea. I finally saved some money by having something shipped in!!! Saved more than 200,000won.
Anyone else got any good deals they'd like to share? |

I don't have any specific items for reference, but I did discover one nice piece of info by chance..
I bought an ipod on ebay and had it sent here from Singapore - where usually you pay a hefty import duty, but the nice people at FedEx informed me that if you've been in the country for less than 6 months then you don't pay anything!
All I did was fax them a copy of my visa showing <6 months and it comes to your door tax free..
Hope that's useful to others.. unfortunately for me, I've been here more than 6 months on this visa. |
