G'day. I'm sure something similar to this has been posted before but the search thingo won't work.

I'm stuck in the boondocks of Korea and buying clothes that actually fit or aren't typical korean crap is impossible. I might actually head up to Soeul this weekend maybe. Itaewon probably so I can visit the bookshop as well. Are there any decent jean shops (levis, jeans west etc) in this area? Also other "good" clothing. Something for the 6ft aussie.
I only want to be in Soeul for the day (to save on accomodation) so I don't want to waste time fruitlessly shopping around. Is there one particular area in Soeul I should visit?

Cheers

Namdaemun has the biggest selection of apparel in Seoul. It's located in center of Seoul near Seoul Station and City Hall Station.

There's also a big man's clothing outlet just on the outskirts of Namdaemun. Look for Hoehyeon Station. Line 4.

I haven't been to Dongdaemun Market yet and I plan on also doing some clothes shopping there this weekend. Dongdaemun is also Line 4.

Anybody have tips on either location?

Dongdaemun is great if you're looking to dress like the fashionable Korean kids... and if you happen to be built like them. Otherwise, forget it.

WB talking out his ass again...

Dongdaemun is great for clothes, just don't hang around in the kiddie sections. Outside you'll pick up some bargains, but don't shop there at night or some of the stuff will fall apart first wash.
The only thing which annoys me about the stores there is often you'll see something phat only to find the display is the only one they have... sucks.

Best also to take a K speaker with to bargain.

Squid, I have shopped at Doota at 4am.
