In the north part of Seoul (kangbuk), there's a place called nakwon sang-ga (낙원상가) arcade that you should look for. It's not a single store, but rather it's a collection of music vendors. I believe the closest stop is Jongno-3 (from line 5).

see the following website: http://www.enakwon.com/ and click on the info tab. There's a nice little map there. The website is for a store in the area I believe.

hope that helps

Going to Nagwon means you're going to go to a luthier at a later date to get your guitar fixed up.

or you're going to buy a more expensive brand and not have to deal with that.

Any guitar will eventually need to be "reset" at some point during its life, especially if it's taken to a place that has a different climate. (If, I should say, the owner is serious about his/her instrument.)

I had a guitar reset a couple summers ago. He totally reset the action by filing down the saddle and tweaking the neck, lubed the heads, reworked the frets, and took care of some loose internal electronics. It was a nice guitar beforehand, but afterwards, it was fan-damn-tastic. Best $200 I ever spent. I've got a 12-string that'll be getting the same treatment next summer.
