...taken from the book 'Saddam's Secrets', written by Georges Sada...formerly Saddam Hussien's #2 guy.

Quote:
A Naturual Disaster...pages 258-259

Saddam had ordered our weapons teams to hide the WMD's in places no military commander or United Nations inspector would expect to find them. So, they hid them in schools, private homes, banks, business offices, and even on teh trucks that were kept constantly moving back and forth from one end of the country to the other. And then fate stepped in.
On June 4, 2002, a three mile long irrigation dam, which had been drawing water from teh Orontes River in teh northwestern district of Zeyzoun, Syria, collapsed, inundating three small villages and destroying scors of homes. Many people and livestock were killed, and the flood waters covered an area of nearly forty square miles. As soon as word of the disaster was broadcast on television, help began arriving from all over the Middle East. The Red Crescent, which is the equivalent of the Red Cross in our area, brought in aid workers to set up shelters and render medical care.
But when Syrian persident Bashar al-Assad asked for help from Jordan and Iraq, Saddam knew what he would do. For him, the disaster in Syria was a gift, and there, posing as shipments of supplies and equipment sent from Iraq to aid the relief effort, were Iraq's WMD's. Weapons and equipment were transferred both by land and by air. The only aircraft available at the time were one Beoing 747 jumo jet and a group of Boeing 727's. But this turned out to be the pefect solution to Saddam's problem. Who woudl suspect commercial airliners of carrying deadly toxins and contraband technology out of the country? So the planse were quickly reconfigured.
All the passenger seats, galleys and toilets, storage compartments, and other related equipment that would be needed for civilian passengers were removed, and new flooring was installed, thus transforming the passenger planse into cargo planes. The airliners were then used for transporting hundred of tons of chemicals, armaments, and other parpharnalia into Syria under the cover of a mission of mercy to help a stricken nation.
Eventually, there were fifty-six sorties. Commercial 747's and 727's moved thise things out of the country. This was another of Saddam's tricks. Instead of using military vehicles or aircraft which would have been apprehended and searched by coalition forces, Saddam's agents had used the civilian airlines. He arranged for most of these shipments to be taken to Syria and handed over to orcdance specialists there who promised to hold everything for as long as necessary.

Well, I was talking to a friend of mine about my posts, and not one far left nut job has responded yet.........here is what he said.

Quote:
Farl left iberals don't deal well with facts. What is important is "Bush lied! There were no WMDs It's an immoral war". Anything that jepordizes those basic beliefs isn't dealt with. They are not going to argue since they can't refute the facts. Tommorrow or the next day they will be saying "Bush lied! There were no WMDs It's an immoral war". Your comments won't even cause a ripple......

Good point, my man....good point.

Yes, once again it brings up back to the old point.............."Bush lied! No
WMD!"...................the far left cannot accept facts, so they are kept out of the spot light.

FOX News covered it though.....................

Iraqi Defector Behind America's WMD Claims Exposed as 'Out-and-Out Fabricator'
by Andrew Gumbel

The case for war against Iraq was dealt another embarrassing blow yesterday due to claims by an American newspaper that the first-hand intelligence source on Saddam Hussein's alleged mobile bioweapons labs was a politically motivated Iraqi defector now dismissed as an "out-and-out fabricator".

The mobile labs, since exposed by weapons inspectors as hydrogen production facilities at best and phantoms at worst, were one of the centerpieces of the US Secretary of State Colin Powell's prewar address to the United Nations. As recently as January, Vice President Dick Cheney maintained that discovery of the labs would provide "conclusive" proof that Iraq possessed WMD.

A detailed investigation in the Los Angeles Times revealed that the source claiming to have seen mobile bioweapons labs was the brother of one of the senior aides to Ahmed Chalabi, the leader of the Iraqi National Congress, who recently boasted how the erroneous information provided by his group achieved his long-cherished goal of toppling Saddam.

While we're on the subject of 'facts' Dmbfan. Wasn't this the fact that the Neo Con's used to start the war?

Fabricated! This seems to be another load of scrambling around for justifying a highly illegal war. No amount of 'bumping' will back up your ascertion that the 'Lefties' don't deal with facts.

Propaganda is a better term to use for your 'facts'.

I'm of the opinion that you have no idea what fact is. The propaganda brainwashing has got to you. Left or right use information to serve their own purposes. Disseminate it and adapt it. This is done in all levels of society. Why you should feel that your 'fact' supercedes my 'fact' is beyond me.

Germans accuse US over Iraq weapons claim

Luke Harding in Berlin
Friday April 2, 2004
The Guardian

An Iraqi defector nicknamed Curveball who wrongly claimed that Saddam Hussein had mobile chemical weapons factories was last night at the centre of a bitter row between the CIA and Germany's intelligence agency.
German officials said that they had warned American colleagues well before the Iraq war that Curveball's information was not credible - but the warning was ignored.

It was the Iraqi defector's testimony that led the Bush administration to claim that Saddam had built a fleet of trucks and railway wagons to produce anthrax and other deadly germs.

In his presentation to the UN security council in February last year, the US secretary of state, Colin Powell, explicitly used Curveball's now discredited claims as justification for war. The Iraqis were assembling "mobile production facilities for biological agents", Mr Powell said, adding that his information came from "a solid source".

These "killer caravans" allowed Saddam to produce anthrax "on demand", it was claimed. US officials never had direct access to the defector, and have subsequently claimed that the Germans misled them.

Yesterday, however, German agents told Die Zeit newspaper that they had warned the Bush administration long before last year that there were "problems" with Curveball's account. "We gave a clear credibility assessment. On our side at least, there were no tricks before Colin Powell's presentation," one source told the newspaper.

Maybe even politicians have political agendas that are incorrect. What do you think they'd do to achieve these agendas?

Wow, lets do a recap.

1. L.A. Crimes
2. The Guardian

What's next, Marvel Comics?

Facts, eh? Well, lets say everyone is lying, OK? Lets say, that nobody knows what they are talking about, and everyone is full of shite...which is usually the case for politicians anyay.

But, I would much rather NOT support a group of people that.......

1. Do not have the best inerests of my country at heart.
2. Constantly play politics, and change their convictions to whatever the
will of the people may be, for that day (Hillary!).
3. Are tearing away the fabric of the United States.
4. Want to portray the United States as a cowardly country, with its
powers fighting for political table scraps of power.
5. Think our military is a group of hired hitman.
6. Don't support or believe in the idea that illegal immigration IS
Illegal! It does not matter how much crap you throw in on the side,
it......is.......illegal.
7. WANT America to fail in Iraq, and in the rest of the world, just so THEY
can achieve power.
8. Are very secular progressive
9. Think Christiantiy is bad, but provide prayer rights to Muslims at
Michigan State University
10. Think that protecting our country is not an issue.
11. Think that open boarders is a good thing.
12. Think that abortion is a right............in ANY circumstance....huh?
13. DON'T HAVE THE BALLS TO STAND UP TO OTHER DANGEROUS
POWERS IN THE WORLD AND SAY........"NO, YOU CAN'T DO THAT".
14. Actually think Sean Penn, and other various "celebrities" (you know,
people that did not actually go to school and study about these kinds
of topics. They don't live life like the average joe, and are
surrounded by the "yes men" all the time).
15. Think that hating your own country is a good thing.

sigh........I could go on, but I'm tired. So, when you present us with things from the L.A. times..........well, it is not too credible. I'm not attacking your character or anything, but c'mon man!

At Least 9 Children Killed In U.S. Raid In Iraq
By STEVEN R. HURST, Associated Press Writer

BAGHDAD - A U.S. attack killed 19 insurgents and 15 civilians, including nine children, northwest of the capital Thursday one of the heaviest civilian death tolls in an American operation in recent months.

The military said it was targeting senior leaders of al-Qaida in Iraq.

American forces have applied fierce and determined pressure on militants, especially al-Qaida in Iraq, since the full contingent of additional U.S. troops arrived June 15. But Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has recently confronted top American commander Gen. David Petraeus about what he sees as overly aggressive U.S. tactics that harm innocent civilians, according to Iraqi officials.

Even the White House isn't trumpeting this "Fact". Most likely due to a lack of evidence.
