What a glorious day. Instead of being at school right now, which I should be, I'm enjoying the remnants of a soju buzz and browsing Dave's at a hole in the wall PC bang. Every Friday should be like this. And every boss should be so lax with their employees. I even got to call up my mini-boss and tell her what the kids should do until I get there.

Use this thread to discuss the finer points of life.

one of the finest points of life: one week from today i will be on a plane to canada, leaving korea's awkward, slightly broken embrace.

Today, I thoroughly cleaned my apartment for the first time in about three months and I feel like a human being again. Also, my working day today starts at 6.30pm and ends at 9.30pm. And I made some very nice Thai mushroom soup yesterday, and I've just had some of it for lunch, whilst watching Charlie Brooker's Screen Wipe on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdxHRuBRLYE). Now I'm listening to Robert Wyatt and I'm about to go and have a shower, then I'm going to play guitar for a bit, then go to Starbucks, read some James Ellroy and then go to work.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

i dont think he (she, they) really does have a point, what is life if you cant take pleasure in all the simple things? Cruisemonkey just sounds like a miserable git who thinks he is better than everything else, a real deep thinker (you can tell cause his sig is like well intellectual).

Me? I got off work at 13.30 today which was nice as ive been out of the house for 10-13 hours a day this week. Also my new apartment has a fridge which is so nice and big that I take a peek inside a few times a day just to marvel at its beauty; and its semi-stocked with costco goodies, there was no costco where i was before. I like Costco; I think I will go tomorrow.

Yeah, on second thoughts, f*ck him, the uptight *beep*. I've had a long week too, and what's more, I've only had two beers since Monday.

Fridays are Maid Day at Ya-ta's house. That is one of the finest things in the entire history of the universe. Come home to a home that is so spotless I can drop food on the floor and lick it off without worrying about dread diseases.

In about an hour and a half 3 students are going to pick me up and we're going down to Bundang to the best Indian restaurant I've found in Korea and chow down (very fine thing indeed) before visiting another student who is in the hospital with a broken leg (not so good thing--the broken leg part; visiting him is a good thing).

Tomorrow's plan...go out in this glorious weather and collect some autumn foliage and come home and paint up a storm. Well, not a storm. Leaves. Red leaves. Yellow leaves. Purple leaves. Brown leaves. (This the the fine arts part of the finer things in life.)
