Here's a starter -
Dong Shim Strikes Again
Min Jung, Min Soo I was only joking
When I said I'd like to make you stand in the corridor
arms above your head
Oh ... Min Jung, Min Soo, I was only joking
When I said by rights you should be
Made to write vocabulary words through A to Z
And now I know how Teacher Mark felt
Now I know how Teacher Mark felt
As the Kids rose, assumed a two fingered pose
And gestured to a place below the belt
Oh ...
Dong Shim! La la la la ... Dong Shim la la la la...
Dong Shim strikes again
And I've got no right to take my place
With the Human race
Oh, Dong shim, la la la la ... Dong shim, la la la la
Dong Shim strikes again
And I've got my right to take that smirk
Off your cheeky face
And now I know how Teacher Mark felt
Now I know how Teacher Mark felt
As the indignation rose to the big long nose
And a feeling of humiliation was felt
Dong Shim, la ... Dong Shim, la ...
Dong Shim strikes again
And I've got no right to take my place
With the Human race
Oh ... |

I was going to suggest "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now", but then ... does it really require rewriting?

There may be something workable along the lines of "Frankly, Mr. 'Hank' Lee".
Not going to do the whole thing, but let's see if I can get it rolling...
Frankly, Mr. 'Hank' Lee, this position I've held
Doesn't pay my way, and it corrodes my soul
I want to leave, the kids won't miss me
It's time to call this crappy job of mine "history"
Frankly, Mr. 'Hank' Lee, your whole school is a wreck
I've got my student-loan bills breathing down my neck
I must pay fast, or they will hunt me
Please forgive me for putting it so bluntly, Mr. 'Hank' Lee
Shame, shame, What a shame
The kids still can't even pronounce my name
So I'd rather be happy
Than stay here and suffer, any day
Any day, any day |

Not great, but I did it in only 10 minutes
Bob Dylan - Like a Rolling Stone
Once upon a time you came to koreaaaaa
You taught the kiddies grammar with a hammer, didn't you?
People'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall"
You thought they were all kiddin' you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was teaching preposition at, in, to, about
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging for your piece of chalk.
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be without a home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?
You've taught at Wonderland, ECC and Andrews Academy, Miss Lonely
But you know you only used to get juiced in it
And nobody has ever taught you how to plan a lesson
And now you find out you're gonna have to get used to it
You said you'd never compromise
With the lying cheating wonjongnim, but now you realize
Hes not gonna give youre a LOR just a small one room hole
As you stare into the vacuum of his soul
And ask him do you want to make a deal?
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?
You never stares and the glares as the jealous netizens gossiped about your lack of qualifications, all the drugs and women you do
You never understood that it ain't no good
You shouldn't complain that your fan doesnt work its to protect you
You dont know about fan death, the power of kimchee or that Korea has four seasons
Eat some dog, spit on the street, its okay cause this is Koreaaaaaaa
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?
Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're drinkin', thinkin' that theyre in the hub of Asia
Exchanging all kinds of precious talk and superficialities
But its all a farce, theres nothing real its just a hubcap babe!
You used to be so amused with English but now the only language that he uses is Kognlish
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal.
How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?

Dong Shim is when they poke your a'hole with their finger.
Dong = *beep*
Shim = finger.
My romanisation is probably poor. |

Adapted from 'Still Ill' -
Still doing ESL
I decree today my life in Korea has become existing and not living
being a white guy in Itaewon no longer means anything
ask me why and I'll spit in your rice
ask me why and I'll spit in your rice
But we cannot cling
to the old Limelight & Hollywood Basement days anymore
no we cannot cling
to those dreams
Do the students run the class
or does the class run the students
I dunno...
The 1.2 mill saved each month will be missed
but Kimchi leaves my arsehole with a twich
it just isn't like
the old days anymore
no it isnt like those days
am I still doing esl?
am I still doing esl?
Has the job ruined my mind
or has soju ruined my body
I dunno...
Ask me why and I'll cry
oh off to Thailand I want to fly
and if you must go to teach English tomorrow
well if I were you I wouldn't bother
for there are better things in life
and I should know because I've seen them
but not very often
Hongdae soju hangovers wont be missed
and although I ended up with sore lips
it just isnt like
the old days anymore
no it isn't like those days
am I still doing esl?
am I still doing esl?

Yeah, I think that's what he was trying to get at.
I would say it's more like Dong Chim.
But seriously, we're in a country where it's both Busan and Pusan. I say so long as you can get the basic idea of it, no harm no foul. |

hats of the the guru!
they hate it when our friends become successful (with korean women)
And if they're from busan, that makes it even worse
And if we can destroy them
You bet your life we will
Destroy them
If we can hurt them
Well, we may as well ...
It's really laughable
Ha, ha, ha ...
'You see, it should've been me
It could've been me
Everybody knows
Everybody says so
They say : ' |

I am the Sohn
And the error
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the Sohn and the error
Of nothing in particular
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way ?
I am Korean and I need to be taught
Just like everybody else does
I am the Sohn
And the error
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the Sohn and error
Oh, of nothing in particular
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way ?
I am an ESL teacher and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
There's a Kid's club, if you'd like to go
You could meet somebody who really pays attention to you
So you go, and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home, and you cry
And you want to die
When you say it's gonna happen "now"
Well, when exactly do you mean ?
See I've already waited too long
And all my kimchi is gone
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way ?
I am Human and I need a new contract
Just like everybody else does
