|
|
I was planning on taking the LSAT test in Korea in December. According to the LSAC.com website the test is offered at Yonsei University. So I go to register on the site and realize it is full. This is the only place listed for Korea.
Talking to some people in Korea, there is some discrepancies as to whether the test is on the 1st or 2nd of the month.
According to a LSAT hogwan in Korea, the test isn't at Yonsei at all, but rather at Gyong hee university.
Is it full or not?
ARGGH!
So I need some answers since the deadline for registration is on the 26th of this month. Does anyone know where I can register for this test and where it is being given? Could their official site be wrong while this hogwan is correct. Seems unlikely. Anyone else taking the test?
If you help me you will win an awesome reward! |

I am (was?) planning to take that test; seeing your post made me look at the registration site and I got on the wait list.
That was odd, considering there was not many people at the December, 2004 test I took at Kyung Hee (Seoul) Incidentally, there were 8 people total at the test center in Mosow last December.
Anyway, the Sept. test is wildly popular, don't know why they have filled up now. Did you get on the wait list, or did they just tell you they were closed?
And LSAC lists Dec. 1 at Yonsei Univ.
May not hurt to call Philadelphia tonight and ask.
Last year they canceled the test in Korea altogether. I guess wait list is better that no test.... |

Fresh news.
I called the LSAC people after getting so many conflicting messages. The nice lady at the other end informed me that the test was in fact full. She then proceeded to tell me that I would be put on a waiting list which would GUARANTEE that I "would have a seat" at a different location that has yet to be announced. According to her, a new location will be assigned within 100 miles of the first location (Yonsei University). So, I guess I am registered now. Yay!
I have no idea if it's on the 1st or 2nd yet, or where it will be, but at least I will be able to take the test. |

Yes, Yonsei is full.
Yes, it's on Dec. 1st.
Yes, you'll go somewhere else. Probably just another room at Yonsei. |

I am surprised that law schools are still accepting scores from Korea due to so much CHEATING AND GHOST TEST TAKERS.
Korea is known for cheating and all Univerisites are aware of this.
You might want to consider taking the test somewehere else if possible! |

Have you even taken this test?
Law schools don't give a s()it about where you take the test. It's going to be monitored like the test is in any other country. |

I took the test in Korea, twice, actually. One of the rules is that your timepiece may not make noise, but that was broken by nearly everyone, and the proctors didn't seem to care. There were some warnings given out for working past the time limit/ looking at a previous section. And most disturbing was that rather than in alphabetical order, all the foreigners were placed in one room! |

Those cheaters get theirs when they get to con law class the first day and have to read 100 pages and have to be able to comprehend those pages by the next day
The law schools themselves are not in Korea. (I dont think Korean law school uses the LSAT??) |
