We got the results of our school's(middle school) diagnostic English test back yesterday.
Only one student(2nd grader) in the history of the school has ever gotten a zero. And I mean a 0 (ZERO!!) on this test. It is an easy test, and I mean EASY. It's a What color is this? What's your name? Who is the boy with the black hat? kind of test, but one kid failed to have enough karma to guess even one a, b, c, d, or e right.
Before you ask:
1. He was not sick.
2. He did not fall asleep.
3. He did not commit a heinous marking error.
4. He is an only moderately maladjusted teenage boy.
5. He was breathing during the entire test.
And, yes, his name is actually 유범석.
And, no, of course I do not really think of him as a stupid m-f, but it did seem a novel way to share my story with the group.
Ta.

Poor kid! At first I thought this was a thread about Yu Bum Suck, the poster. I was wondering what he had done...
He should meet my student: Yu Suck Me....maybe they are related... |

Ha ha! Brilliant. It's nice to have such highly esteemed name-sakes.
I wonder if I could score zero on a basic Korean test. |

| I have yet to teach individuals with such brilliant names in Korea, but I had some kickers in Thailand, as "porn" figures prominently in a lot of female names. I had a Titiporn and a Supaporn, among others... |

I hope is parents don't beat him to a pulp.

| In Viet Nam, Bich (pronounced beek despite the spelling) is a popular female name. Once my friends and i had a bar maid named that. So once the beer starting flowing it was " bich, bring me another beer" and may I have another, bich?" |
