What does "low action" mean?
You'd better quit posting all of these guitars, or I might end up buying one!
I tried learning when I was a kid, but I got frustrated after just a few attempts. My fingers seemed too padded and soft to make the notes work. I also write left-handed, and sometimes wondered if I was learning with the wrong hand. I dunno. Always wished I could play, though. |

Good question: "Low action" means the gap that is between the strings to the fretboard is very small. Thus, it doesn't hurt quite as much when you press down. Granted, you need to develop callouses on your fingers and that's going to take some time. You can also place extra-light gague strings on your guitar to take away some of the tension and discomfort.
I'm left-handed and I learned to play a right-handed guitar. You can go either way, really. Come on over and give it another shot!
All the best to you! |
