I'm really in need of a good steak. I was on a high protein diet back home before I came here because of my workout routine. 250 plus grams of protein daily.

I can get pork, chicken and fish, but I'm craving a little tenderloin. Maybe a nice persimmon wood char-broiled ribeye, Top Sirloin medallions with a port and cherry glaze, skirt steak roulade with pignoli, peaches and sage, or a good old fashioned 27 oz porterhouse plain with baby yukon golds and roasted red beets.

Well anyways, I'm in Siheung(?) near Inch'on, and E-mart and GS-Mart don't carry any western cuts of beef.

Anyone know of any steak dealers in the area within walking distance.

I'd prepare my own, but I live in an office-tel and I don't have any cooking tools here with me.

You can get pretty good steaks in Itaewon, they're not the best in the world but they are pretty good, possibly the best in Korea outside of very expensive hotels.

Had a great ribeye in 3 alley pub today, slighty overdone but delicious all the same, served with a delicious salad and really nice sauted potatoes-onions.

Hollywood bar and grill is also really good for their 'New York' cut.

Forget Outback and those nonsense places, 3 Alleys or Hollywood or cook it at home. You can get good cuts of excellent Australian beef at Hannam market.

In Incheon I have no idea, but you can buy the meat frozen and bring it back home, Officetel cooking is a big challenge but it can be done!

Go to VIPS! They make delicious steaks with a wonderful salad bar. My husband, who is really picky about steaks (he likes them done the French way with dijon mustard) was pleased with the steak he got at VIPS that time we went - they even served him dijon mustard!!!

I used to work on a ranch near Alice springs. Beside my house was a huge freezeroom jammed with all variety of cuts. Help yourself, they said.
I never tire of steak..could eat it every day.

Yes, correct. And Korean beef is twice as expensive as imported beef.. Korean people think Korean beef is far superior than imported stuff...

i finally had steak -- TWICE.

i ordered my very first steak while i was on a romantic dinner cruise. it was awful!!!!!!! the meat felt like leather. i swore up and down that i'd never try it ever AGAIN.

my boy persuaded me to give steak one more chance while i was at the mexican restaurant few weeks ago. dang, it was good.

now, i say yes to beef and no to chicken.

Actually that quality of the meat is amazing. The fat is nice and white. The marbling is almost better than you would find in the U.S. and quite possible on par with Kobe beef.

But this was their round and chuck sub-primal cuts. I wonder where the better cuts are? I'd love to get my hands on a Korean beef tenderloin.

I've said it before and I'll say it one more time.

Go to a butcher for tenderloin/filet mignon. I regularly buy choice tenderloin or striploin for steaks.

You just gotta know what to look for Cool

I know, I went from 190 lbs to 170 in about a month. I was working out with 275 lbs on the bench and now only get 225 or so up. I'm still a little confused with the whole Kg thing.

By the way IT-guy, 'Rising' by J.Bua, is awesome. I've always loved that style of painting.

emmm you seem to be losing strength.. you may need to get some Creatine....
take a pre workout shake make sure you are eating some carbs before the workout too.. perhaps putting some oats in the shakes..
and remember to eat straight after your workout again with a shake with carbs and whey..
get the creatine that will see you through..
