Why would it be on here?
Do you think that anyone other than the English are interested in watching a second-rate team like England? |

Rooney's not been playing well for a while. He's simply like Lampard, gerrard, owen, ferdinand. Regardless of whether they are in form or not they're in. Ridiculous!! They're the ego players. Gerrard has been awful for the last three games.
I expect the big name players to do just that, play like their reputations would have them to.
Just for the happiness of Bejarano, I'd say that not only are wigan missing heskey but England are to. He's a well oiled battering ram with experience. |

^I agree.
Selection based on previous performance statistics is what I'd like to see and dispense with this preoccupation of selecting on club form. Frank Lampard as an attacking midfielder should be scoring a goal every other game. Not sure what his stats are, but I know he hasn't scored that often. Same as Rooney. Apparently, his last 2-goals were the first he'd scored in 3-years for England. That's disgraceful. I don't care if there isn't anyone better, he's not performing so drop him and get someone in from the Championship if need be.
England have been underperforming for too long. Missing out on a major tournament may give the powers that be a bit of a wake up call and force them to start looking into why we've consistently underperformed these past 10 years or so. |

The problem with the England team is that are completely over-rated by the English media who make money from them. The simple fact is that they are not good enough. What other 'major' footballing nation has won nothing since 1966? I think that says it all. |

A goal every other game? thats good stats for a striker, i dont think you can be looking for more than a goal every 3 to 4 games from an attacking midfielder, that would equate to 10-15 goals in a regular club season and would be a great contribution. |

That's missing the point.
Rooney was playing. Rooney is popular in Korea. Therefore Korean TV might show the game.
Agree with you that Englands performances have been a state though. Lack of motivation and drive seems wanton. Is it the players, is it McClaren? I blame the scapegoats.. |

Group B is a tricky one, but "no France" is a bit daft. I expect the Scots, after a great effort, to be unlucky and not qualify. The Italians, via a penalty from a dive, will win in Scotland and of course beat the Faroe Islands - the Italians and French thereby qualifying. Even though I'm English and not a glory-hunter, it would be rather fun if the Scots qualified and we didn't. We also need another big boy - Italy, world champions? - to fail with us.
Really, expect all the big boys to make it except....guess who? England are the most overpaid, overrated set of tw*ts, they're an abhorrence. Steven Gerrard missing a header from 8 yards out (unmarked) for example. I can hardly type I'm so angry. We should have the death penalty for missing sitters - that'd motivate them! String 'em all up and throw away the key. |

Yep!
Would love Scotland to make it, and they've got a good chance they're playing Italy at home and they've won all their games at home. Oh man the jealously! And England's group isn't even that hard. We'd have crumpled playing france and Italy. Hats off to scotland for beating, what is a terrible terrible France team twice.
Gerrard is s*it, lampard is also s*it. Overpaid, overrated monkeys. WHy don't they move abroad, because they'd get found out. Why do you think that one of the biggest dicks ever, Totti, has never left Roma? Comfort zone from adoring fans, why bother!
Would love to see an england team purely based on form would fair in the finals. |
