Have been in bed for the past two days, feel so physically weak I'm unable to stand on my feet for more than a minute, shaking and shivering, sweating profusely... my throat is aflame. Oh, it's agony.
Is it just me or is getting Korean flu a lot more painful than getting flu in your home country...? I guess something to do with antibodies not built up etc.
Everytime I get it here, I'm literally knocked for six for about five days. |

Asia has got some really nasty germs for white boys. I got an Asian flue in Indonesia once - damm near killed me! And I did nearly die in Northern Thailand - from a really nasty lurgie (amoebic dysentery). I've been sick (one and off) most of this year, which is surprising (it's my 3rd contract). Teaching 1,000 kids a week - in a dirty s... hole - in hot and humid conditions - there's going to be some bugs around we're not used to. |
